Today I finished the very last page!
30 illustrations, almost one per week since I began last August…
I can’t quite celebrate yet, as there is still lots left to do before they are all ready to go to the publisher…but what a milestone!
So here she is, my strawberry blonde country girl, at a perfect August picnic by the lake, enjoying the beauty of nature, the blessings of delicious food (the summer sweet corn, peaches and watermelons really have been spectacular this year!) and the glorious pleasures of a barefoot summer afternoon without any food angst…
I couldn’t resist putting my initials into the glass mason jar!
