I am not Wonder Woman. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

I have been feeling way too stretched out lately: my teaching job, my family, the house & yard, and trying to squeeze in enough time per day to work on writing, researching, emailing, blogging, facebooking, etc.

Sketching ideas to keep my art soul happy and make progress on my next book always seems to fall to the bottom of the pile…

This week, in an effort to put a little fun/inspiration back into the mix, I read a graphic novel “Wonder Woman: Love and Murder” , written by Jodi Picoult, art by Alex Sinclair, Lee Loughridge, Dave McCaig. A panel in the book really jumped out at me:
fiercely muscular, AND with super powers, even Wonder Woman thinks:

“I am not Wonder Woman. I have to keep reminding myself of that.”
We poor mortals in the real world need to remember that too!

I got out the sketchpad and experimented with a “Wonder Woman” of my own.
What do you think?
