A New Point of View

New Point of View

It’s not my shape that needs to change.
It’s how I see myself.

How often have we stood in front of the mirror, with a mental checklist of what is wrong with our bodies?
Not wrong in the medical sense, but wrong visually in comparison to standards of beauty that apply to very, very few people?
How hard it is to stand in front of a mirror without hating what we see!
But if you really think about it, hating your thighs, or belly or feet or skin (or whatever!) changes nothing, and makes life just plain miserable.

Why do you allow that voice in your head to keep telling you that you are not good enough?

Has any of that negative “I hate my butt” talk EVER made you feel better?
Or changed the size of your butt?

Set aside all the old emotions for just a few minutes,
and accept what you see as you, wonderful you.
NO comparison to anyone else, just you!
Hush that negative voice! And treat yourself like the princess you are.

Love who you see in that mirror, because, guess what:
You ARE who you are!
