Big Benefits

Big Benefits
I’m a solid investment,
with substantial returns.

I’m the deluxe model with luxury features.

All the added options
come standard with me.

Isn’t is strange that the concept of “bigger is better” applies to just about everything except the size of women?
(OK, I know this would be an easy place to insert a joke about the size of men…but I’ll let you fill that in for yourself!)

I wrote this page from “More to Love” long before the current financial meltdown/global economic downturn that has affected nearly everyone I know, including more than half of my immediate family.
A solid investment with substantial returns…
what could that possibly mean in this environment?

Since it is obvious that even the most well-planned financial decisions can come crashing down, due to things that are way out of your control,
there must be something else that is solid, reliable, trustworthy.
(gigantic insurance companies participating in credit default swaps on sub-prime mortgages… huh?!?)
Something that gives back no matter what, something that can comfort, support and enrich your life.

I think a strong, solid woman fits the bill perfectly!
My mother’s mother had a n’eer-do-well drunkard of a husband,
who left her with 2 orphaned nieces and nephews, and 4 children of her own to raise.
Long before there were any government assistance programs for single moms.
In an old farmhouse with no indoor plumbing.
She worked in a factory 6 days a week,
and took in laundry and mending on the 7th.
She carried that entire family on her own strength.
Her investments in her children have cascaded down three generations, with returns that cannot be measured in dollars and cents.
Perhaps you have a strong, solid woman or two in your family. (maybe it’s you!)
Chances are, the strength and stamina, the comfort and enrichment, the security and growth that she returns to everyone in her life have nothing to do with her weight, and everything to do with her heart.

The deluxe model with luxury features and added options…
Pretty much anything with “luxury features” has more than the standard model:
more space, more comfort, more seating, larger storage, softer, smoother, bigger, plusher, fancier.
Luxury and options are always more of something.
So, you have more breasts, more belly, more legs?
You are more than a size 2? or 12? or 22?
This is not a problem, it’s a plus: you have a more luxurious body!
(Dare I say it? OK… “more to love”.)

All the added options come standard with me…

What are YOUR added options?

since the theme is “bigger is better” here is a bigger view of my illustration:

I had a friend who was obsessed with staying thin. All she'd eat was Subway. Not only did she eat that way, she'd make the man in her life miserable by forcing him to eat that way too. So I'd say thin is DEFINITELY not better in that sense. There's a price to being around someone who is obsessed with her weight!

I'm Livin' Large in several areas, including height (5'9"), shoe size, weight, ideas and enthusiasm. SITS sent me over, and I'm glad they did…have a Serene Sunday, OK?

I love your blog and am looking forward to buying your book! I'm shopping tomorrow and hope I'll find it.

Popping over from SITS and I'm so glad I did. What a lovely blog. Your artwork is wonderful and I so appreciate your philosophy. I'll be back again and again. I particularly like this drawing because I can really picture myself in it. I'm a working woman with brown eyes and formerly brown hair, now grey, and I love seeing a positive image that looks so much like me.
