The sad truth is that girls as young as 1st grade feel pressure to be thin, so it's not just mothers, it's the entire culture! We need to work with the idea that healthy women and girls naturally come in many different shapes and sizes, not just fashion model thin. here is an article about little girls worrying about their weight

Hey, I say who cares as long as YOU like how they fit thats all that matters. If boot cut jeans makes you look hot, then do those kind of jeans. My motto is never sacrifice style for trends! Wear what is flattering to your body type, height, weight and bone structure, regardless of what other folks are doing.
