Dream On

I never let my size

determine the shape of my dreams!

© excerpt from “More to Love

Go get a piece of paper.

Make a list of every single thing that you wanted to be when you grew up.

( Yes, even rockstar! )

Get another piece of paper.

Make a list of every single thing that you would love to be now, as an adult.

(Go crazy: list real careers, fantasy dream jobs, volunteer work. )

One more piece of paper.

Make a list of every single thing that you would do if you had enough money.

(Anything at all, as long as it is what you want to do, not what you should do.)

Now take a long, hard look at these lists.

Is there anything on the lists, anything at all, that absolutely requires you to lose weight in order to do, have or be what you wrote?

Cross it off the list!

What remains on these lists are your dreams, past and present.

The challenges to making your dreams come true may be time, money, opportunity, determination, talent, focus and training (and maybe some luck!)

Your size, however, does not determine the shape of your dreams!

Extra Credit Activity: A Reality Check

List every single talent that you have, common or unusual.

Add every single skill you know, easy or difficult.

Now add every single accomplishment you’ve made, small or large.

Congratulate yourself for already being so fabulous!

Go pick a dream. Make it come true!
