Rich and Thin
So,
We’re not as thin as we’d like to be…
We’re not as rich either!from More to Love,

“A woman can never be too rich or too thin”.
Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor
Is that so?
Maybe this famous line is just another cheeky witticism from a member of the British Royal Family.
Or perhaps upper class ladies, already quite rich and thin, truly believe that these qualities are required for proper womanhood.
Haute-couture fashion, after all, is usually made in the smallest of sizes for the highest of prices!
But for those of us with smaller budgets and larger sizes,
this quote implies that we are inferior
in ways we may have little control over.
I work, but I’m not wealthy. (Or wealthy enough!)
I exercise and eat well, but I’m just not thin.
(Or thin enough!)
Take the “rich or thin” quote to heart and you could spend your life feeling worthless,
miserably chasing after something that can “never be”!
So, we’re not as thin as we think we should be…oh well!
Or as rich as we’d like to be… that’s life!
Let’s create a different snappy quote, one that makes us feel worthy instead.
“A woman can never be too ______________ or too ________________.”
Looking forward to reading your quotes!

A woman can never be too witty or too wise!
When I was in college I used to say… or own too many sweaters!
Over from SITS..
Good question. Everything I can think of involves owning shoes..Oh – a woman can definitely never be too smart!
Thanks Elizabeth – this helped me focus on what is important to me these days: I woman can never be too present or too content.
A woman can never be too respected or too admired!
The first thing I thought about was shoes, too…lol.
A woman can never be too caring or too compassionate.
love, Love, LOVE this! SITS sent me by, and I’m glad they did…
Blogging: A Community of Content or Commercialism?
A women can never be too happy or secure.
P.S. I blogged about my love of shoes last week so love that idea!
A woman can never be too ADORED or EMPOWERED.
Thanks for the opportunity! This was fun!
I say a woman can never be too chilled or relaxed.
We spend far too much of our lives trying to do it all, have it all and we’re supposed to look good at the same time. It creates stress which is bad for the body and soul. Thus, there are times when I can never be too relaxed or chilled
So far we have: A woman can never be too
witty or wise
own too many sweaters or shoes
present or content
respected or admired
caring or compassionate
happy or secure
adored or empowered
chilled or relaxed
These are great! keep ‘em coming!

A woman can never be too much herself.
Or too aware of what she’s up against.
A woman can never be too happy or too loved.
Wallace SImpson was hardly an admirable person. Nor was her husband.
A woman can never be too smart or too kind.
I’ve heard many studies that state beyond having enough money to be comfortable, money does not buy happiness. In fact, it has been shown that too much money creates unhappiness…although I’d love to give that “problem” a try!
yes, it does seem like quite the “problem” doesn’t it…
Came by from SITS and SO glad I did – I love your blog! I am not awake enough to think of a witty quote to contribute, but just wanted to say hi
