Big girls don’t cry?
Girls of all sizes do cry!
And we probably should cry more than we do.
The truth is that the world can be a hard and unforgiving place,
filled with tragic situations and negative messages.
Every single one of us experiences loss, disappointment, rejection, physical pain, emotional pain, fatigue, and the

I had a bit of a holiday meltdown while Christmas shopping after work last night.
I was tired.
I was feeling a bit pressured by the upcoming holidays.
I have family arriving to stay as guests,
and will also be traveling to visit out-of-state family.
I was thinking of finding time for the extra cooking,

One of my favorite summer amusements is people watching outdoors
at parks, at the beach, at concerts, or anywhere that people gather to relax and play.
As an artist I am endlessly fascinated by the variety of forms that we come in!
Here are a few sketches of women I’ve observed

I always love the “making of” features at the back of the DVDs; I find it fascinating how movies are made, love seeing the raw pencil tests for animation, or 3D without all the final textures applied.
I think many people are interested in how stuff is made; one of the

One of the best things about learning to draw is the requirement to look, really look, at how things are constructed. Size, shape, color, texture and spatial relationships of each part to part, must be studied, analyzed and interpreted.
When you draw people, as I do, it’s obvious that actual women

Too many jellybeans, peeps & chocolate bunnies this weekend?
Forgive yourself and move on!

I am working with a terrific free-lance animator, Adam Rosette to create a YouTube video of “More To Love”, a combination of me on camera (yikes!) with voice over, some animation created by Adam and pages from my book animated.
I’ve been feeling a bit drained lately by the process of
